Klingspor PL 31 B 3290 hiomapaperirulla P80 50 m x 110 mm

In a busy carpentry workshop, a furniture restorer reaches for this Klingspor PL 31 B sanding paper roll to smooth a solid oak tabletop before applying the final varnish. The P80 grit cuts efficiently through old finish and levels the surface, while the 50-meter roll ensures there is always enough abrasive on hand for large projects or continuous daily use.

Key specifications

• Abrasive grain: Aluminum oxide
• Grit size: P80
• Roll length: 50 m
• Roll width: 110 mm
• Backing material: B-paper
• Bonding agent: Full synthetic resin
• Coating type: Closed coating
• Series: PL 31 B

Why choose it

The PL 31 B series combines a flexible B-paper backing with a tough aluminum oxide grain, delivering consistent results on wood, paint, varnish, filler, and plastic. The closed coating provides a high cut rate and uniform finish, while the full synthetic resin bond resists heat and moisture for longer life. This roll format allows you to cut custom lengths for hand sanding blocks, orbital sanders, or specialty tools, reducing waste and cost per square meter.

Ideal use cases

• Preparing wooden surfaces for painting or varnishing
• Removing old paint, varnish, or filler
• Sanding plastic components to a smooth finish
• Hand sanding with blocks or pads
• Orbital and finishing sanders in woodworking shops

Good to know

Each roll contains 50 meters of abrasive, enough for dozens of sanding operations. The reddish-brown color is typical for aluminum oxide abrasives. Store in a dry place to maintain flexibility and grain adhesion. For best results, use with a sanding block or appropriate machine and apply even pressure.
