Kramer Electronics Kramer DigiTOOLS VS-211HDXL 2x1:2 3G HD-SDI automaattinen valmiustilakytkin

For broadcast and pro AV installations that demand zero downtime, the Kramer VS-211HDXL stands apart with its automatic standby switching and dual reclocked outputs. Unlike basic SDI routers, this DigiTOOLS unit actively monitors both 3G HD-SDI inputs and instantly falls back to the secondary source if the primary signal is lost—no manual intervention, no missed frames. The compact aluminum chassis houses professional-grade equalization and reclocking that clean up jitter and extend cable reach far beyond typical switchers.

Highlights

• 2x1:2 configuration: two 3G HD-SDI inputs, two reclocked outputs
• Automatic standby switching with manual override via front panel, contact closure, or RS-232
• Supports SMPTE 259M, 292M, 344M, 424M, and DVB-ASI up to 3 Gbps
• Automatic cable equalization up to 100 m (330 ft) for 3G, 200 m (650 ft) for HD, and 300 m (1000 ft) for SD over RG-6
• Ultra-low jitter (<0.2 UI) and high return loss (>15 dB up to 3 GHz) for pristine signal integrity

In daily use

The VS-211HDXL is a silent sentinel in live production, master control, and digital signage. Connect two SDI cameras or feeds; the switcher locks onto the primary input and routes it to both outputs simultaneously. If the primary fails, the unit switches to the standby source within milliseconds, keeping your program on air. The reclocked outputs ensure that downstream devices receive a clean, regenerated signal, eliminating accumulated jitter over long cable runs. Control is flexible: use the front-panel button for quick manual switching, wire a contact closure for automated failover, or integrate with RS-232 for remote management.
