Kuitu-pigtail Digitus LC OS2 09/125 µ simplex

The Digitus LC OS2 09/125 µ Simplex fiber optic pigtail is designed for high-speed data transmission with minimal signal loss. This 2 m simplex pigtail uses a 9 µm single-mode core (OS2) and a zirconia ceramic ferrule to ensure consistent link quality. The colored buffer sleeve follows IEC 304 colour coding, enabling clear identification in installations.

Advantages

Provides reliable single-mode transmission with low attenuation thanks to the OS2 9/125 µ core and a zirconia ceramic ferrule. Available in a compact LC simplex connector format for dense patching and easy handling. Colour-coded buffer sleeves improve organisation and reduce installation errors. Conforms to IEC 61754-4 standard for connector compatibility.

Suitable for

• Data centre patch panels and server connections
• Telecommunications backbone and access networks
• Fiber-to-the-desk or fiber-to-the-cabinet terminations
• Splicing to pre-terminated fibre cables and optical equipment

How to use

Prepare the fibre infrastructure and routing path, then splice the pigtail to the installed optical fibre or terminate it in the appropriate patch panel. Insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC adapter on patch panels, transceivers or distribution frames. Secure the pigtail and manage the excess length to avoid tight bends; observe proper fibre handling to prevent contamination of the ferrule endface.

Recommendations

When installing and maintaining the LC OS2 pigtail, use appropriate fibre cleaning tools, avoid bending below the specified bend radius, and perform optical power or loss testing after splicing to verify link performance.
