Kuitu-SC-liitin naaras-naaras DELOCK 85998, violetti, 4 kpl:n pakkaus

DELOCK 85998 is an SC female-to-female fibre optic connector supplied in a pack of 4 with a violet finish. It is engineered to join two SC-terminated optical fibres, providing mechanical alignment and a reliable connection for installations that use SC interfaces. The compact design suits tight routing and patching points and is intended for both single-mode and multimode fibre cabling where a female–female adapter is required.

Advantages

The adapter offers precise ferrule alignment to minimize insertion loss and back reflection in optical links. Its standardized SC interface ensures compatibility with a wide range of SC-terminated plugs and patch cords. The violet colour provides easy visual identification in multi-fibre or colour-coded installations. Supplied as a set of four adapters, it is convenient for small repair kits or for extending multiple fibre runs without purchasing single units.

Suitable for

• Repairing or extending SC-terminated fibre optic patch cords
• Temporary or permanent inline connections in LAN and data centre cabling
• Field service kits and on-site maintenance tasks
• Colour-coded fibre installations and organised patch panels

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC female–female adapter
• Finish: violet
• Pack quantity: 4 pieces
• Compatible fibre types: single-mode and multimode
• Material: durable polymer housing (compact design)
• Application: inline joining of SC-terminated fibres

How to use

Insert an SC-terminated plug into each end of the adapter until it clicks into place, ensuring ferrule alignment and a secure mechanical fit. Verify the connection visually and, where required, test optical loss with an appropriate power meter or light source. To remove, press the latch on the SC plug and gently pull it out of the adapter. Multiple adapters can be used in series for staged extensions, taking care to limit cumulative insertion loss.

Recommendations

Store adapters in original packaging to avoid dust contamination; clean fibre endfaces before mating using lint-free wipes and approved cleaning fluid. Use in environments appropriate for polymer housings and avoid exposing connections to excessive mechanical stress or bending beyond the fibre’s minimum bend radius.
