Kuitu-Unibox seinäkiinnitys Digitus DN-96800S-2

The DIGITUS Fiber Optic Unibox Wall Mount DN-96800S-2 is a compact, lockable splice box made of sturdy cold-rolled sheet steel for indoor wall-mounted fiber installations. It accommodates up to 24 fibers and provides cable entry/exit at the top and bottom via foam rubber strips. The unit includes mounting material and integrated fixtures for cable ties; adapter plates for couplings and coupling brackets are available separately to customize the box with couplings, pigtails or patch cables.

Advantages

This compact unibox offers a space-efficient solution for protecting and organizing fiber splices in indoor telecommunications and data communication environments. Its lockable design (includes two keys) enhances physical security, while the cold-rolled steel construction ensures mechanical robustness. Preinstalled foam rubber strips allow sealed cable routing at top and bottom, and the supplied mounting hardware simplifies installation.

Suitable for

• Indoor fiber optic splice and termination points
• FTTx apartment or office installations
• Telecommunications and data communication closets
• Organizing pigtails and couplings with adapter plates

How to use

Mount the unibox on a wall using the supplied dowels and screws, ensuring the unit is level and secure. Route incoming and outgoing fiber cables through the foam rubber strip openings at the top or bottom, sealing around the cables to protect the internal splice area. Install required adapter plates or coupling brackets if panel-mounted connectors or pigtails are needed, then organize and secure fiber splices inside the box using the integrated fixtures and cable ties. Close and lock the door to protect splices from unauthorized access.

Recommendations

Install and handle fibers according to standard fiber optic practices: avoid sharp bends, maintain proper bend radius, and ensure clean connector end-faces. Use appropriate adapter plates for the chosen connector type and keep the interior dry and free of dust.
