Kuitujatkosrasia Extralink Emma 16-kuituinen valkoinen

The Extralink Fiber optic terminal box Emma 16 core white is a compact enclosure designed for organized fiber management and protection of up to 16 optical fibers. The housing provides space for fiber splicing, splitter placement and secure storage of pigtails and patchcords while preserving network integrity. Constructed for both indoor and outdoor use, the unit features a sealed entry for the main fiber cable, internal mountings for distribution and an option to mount the distribution panel in either orientation to simplify routing and maintenance.

Advantages

The enclosure is built with a tightly closed structure that resists humidity, water and dust, offering reliable environmental protection. It supports independent routing of cables, pigtails and patchcords to prevent interference between connections and to streamline installation. The box accepts cassette-type SC adapters and includes internal splice trays and cable management provisions for neat organization. Its compact white casing allows wall or pole mounting and facilitates both primary distribution and customer drop connections in PON networks.

Suitable for

• Primary fiber distribution point in PON networks
• Splicing and storage of up to 16 fiber cores
• Outdoor and indoor wall or pole installations
• Housing splitters and adapter cassettes for FTTH deployments

Key specifications

• Capacity: up to 16 fiber cores
• Material: durable weather-resistant housing
• Protection: sealed entry points against water and dust ingress
• Internal layout: splice trays and cable management for neat routing
• Mounting options: wall or pole installation with reversible distribution panel
• Adapter compatibility: supports cassette-type SC adapters

How to use

Install the Extralink Emma terminal box on a stable wall or pole using the provided mounting points. Route the incoming main fiber cable through the sealed entry, secure it to the internal clamp, and organize individual fibers into the splice trays. Perform fiber splices and place heat-shrink or mechanical protection sleeves in the provided 60 mm splice protectors. Mount splitter units or SC adapter cassettes as required, arrange pigtails and patchcords separately to avoid tension or bending, and close the enclosure ensuring all seals are engaged to maintain environmental protection.

Recommendations

Use appropriate fiber bend-radius control and avoid excessive tension on fiber runs. For outdoor installations ensure the enclosure is mounted with the cable entry facing down or protected from direct water ingress. Perform routine inspections of seals and cable clamps and store spare pigtails and splice sleeves in the designated trays to maintain network reliability.
