Kuitukaapeli BlueOptics FCKAB-OM4-C20-L-BO LC LC/UPC OM4 20 m violetti

The BlueOptics FCKAB-OM4-C20-L-BO LC to LC/UPC OM4 fibre optic cable is a 20 metre multimode link developed for high-bandwidth environments such as InfiniBand networks and data centre interconnects. The cable uses OM4-rated multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter, offering low attenuation and consistent modal bandwidth for reliable short- to medium-reach optical connections. Both ends terminate in LC connectors with UPC polishing for stable mating and low back-reflection. The violet jacket colour provides clear visual identification within structured cabling routes.

Advantages

This OM4 multimode cable provides improved bandwidth and reduced insertion loss compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, supporting higher data rates over equivalent distances. The LC/UPC connector pair ensures repeatable optical performance and straightforward installation in standard LC ports. The 20 m length covers typical rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections without introducing unnecessary excess slack, while the coloured jacket simplifies cable management and identification in dense installations.

How to use

Route the BlueOptics OM4 cable between LC ports on compatible transceivers, patch panels or switches, taking care to avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile loads. Insert LC connectors until they click into place in the device ports; confirm polarity and correct end-to-end connection before powering network equipment. For best performance, keep connector endfaces clean and use appropriate dust caps or cleaning tools when handling or storing the cable.

Recommendations

Store and install the cable within the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius to maintain modal performance. Clean LC/UPC endfaces with lint-free wipes or fibre cleaning tools before mating. Use violet-coloured identification only as a visual aid and document cable routing in your network diagrams for maintenance and troubleshooting.
