Kuitukaapeli EFB Elektronik O6013.15 15 m ST oranssi

The EFB Elektronik O6013.15 15 m ST Orange fibre optic cable is an OM2 multimode link with a 50 µm core diameter and ST connectors on both ends. Designed for duplex transmission, this 15 metre cable provides a stable optical path for network connections, patch panels and equipment interlinks in data centres, telecom racks and structured cabling installations. The bright orange jacket makes the cable easy to identify in mixed-cable environments and helps with routing and maintenance tasks.

Advantages

This OM2 fibre cable supports high-speed multimode transmission over moderate distances and delivers consistent performance for short to mid-range links. ST connectors offer reliable bayonet-style coupling for a secure mechanical connection and straightforward installation. The 50 µm core provides compatibility with common multimode transceivers and patching equipment, while the 15 m length covers most rack-to-rack and room-to-room cabling needs without requiring additional splices or adapters.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Interconnecting switches, servers and patch panels in data centres and server rooms
• Connecting telecom and networking equipment in wiring closets
• Temporary or permanent fibre patching for multimode network segments
• Laboratory and test-bench setups requiring duplex multimode links

Key specifications

• Length: 15 m
• Fiber type: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: ST on both ends (duplex)
• Jacket colour: Orange for easy identification
• Transmission mode: Full duplex

How to use

Route the cable between equipment with care to avoid tight bends and excessive tension; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fibre to prevent increased insertion loss. Clean connector endfaces before mating to ensure optimal signal transmission, and insert ST connectors with the bayonet-style twist to secure the connection. For permanent installations, fasten the cable to cable management structures and label both ends to simplify future maintenance and troubleshooting.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use this OM2 50 µm cable for links within the supported distance range of multimode systems, and pair with compatible multimode transceivers and patch panels. Keep connectors capped when not in use and inspect endfaces regularly; avoid running fibre parallel to high-power electrical cabling to reduce the risk of interference in mixed installations.
