Kuitukaapeli Helos 2 m OM4 SC/SC

The Helos 2m OM4 SC/SC fibre optic cable is a duplex multimode link designed for high-speed data transmission in network environments. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM4 graded-index multimode specification, the cable supports increased bandwidth and lower modal dispersion compared with lower-tier multimode fibres. The SC connector on both ends provides reliable push-pull coupling and consistent optical performance. The cable's 2 meter length and violet jacket color make it convenient for short interconnects and easy identification in dense cabling installations.

Advantages

This OM4 SC/SC cable offers improved bandwidth and reach for multimode applications, enabling higher data rates and lower signal degradation over the specified distances. The duplex construction supports full duplex communication, simplifying connections between switches, transceivers and patch panels. SC connectors deliver stable physical mating and low insertion loss when properly installed. The violet outer jacket enhances visibility during installation and maintenance, while the 2 m length reduces excess slack in rack and cabinet environments.

Suitable for

• Short-distance data centre interconnects between switches and servers
• Patching between transceivers and fibre optic panels
• High-speed multimode links in enterprise LANs
• Environments requiring clear cable identification and organised cabling

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode, graded-index
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC, duplex
• Length: 2 m
• Jacket colour: violet
• Polish/type: factory-terminated, standard multimode polish

How to use

Inspect both SC connector endfaces for cleanliness before making connections and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Align and insert the SC connectors into corresponding SC ports on transceivers, patch panels or switches until the latch engages. Use the duplex configuration to connect transmit and receive channels correctly; ensure the transmit (TX) on one end maps to receive (RX) on the other. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the cable's minimum bend radius during routing. When removing, depress the SC latch and pull straight out to avoid straining the fibre.

Recommendations

Use this OM4 SC/SC cable for short to medium multimode connections where improved bandwidth is required. Store and route the cable away from sources of mechanical stress and prevent tight bends. For optimal performance, keep connectors clean and inspect periodically; replace the cable if connector or fibre endface damage is observed.
