Kuitukaapeli Helos 7,5 m OM4 SC/SC

The Helos 7.5m OM4 SC/SC fibre optic cable is a multimode duplex patch cable with a 50 µm core diameter designed for high-speed, low-loss optical connections. With SC connectors on both ends and OM4 graded multimode fibre, the cable supports demanding data center and high-performance computing links where low attenuation and high bandwidth are required. The violet jacket color provides quick visual identification in dense cabling environments.

Advantages

This OM4 SC/SC cable offers full duplex communication and is engineered for low insertion loss and consistent signal integrity over its 7.5 m length. The 50 µm core enables higher modal bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, making it suitable for short- to medium-range high-throughput links. The standardized SC connectors allow secure push-pull mating and straightforward installation in patch panels and transceivers.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between switches, servers and storage
• InfiniBand interconnects and other high-performance computing links
• Telecommunications racks and structured cabling backbones
• Short- to medium-reach multimode fibre connections

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC, duplex
• Cable length: 7.5 m
• Color: violet
• Typical application: multimode data links, InfiniBand compatibility

How to use

Install the Helos OM4 SC/SC cable by aligning the SC connectors with the corresponding SC ports on equipment or patch panels and inserting until the push-pull latch engages. Ensure both ends are clean before mating to minimize insertion loss — use fibre cleaning tools suitable for SC ferrules. Route the cable to avoid tight bends or mechanical stress and secure it with cable management accessories to maintain bend radius and prevent accidental disconnection.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep connector endfaces free of dust and debris, avoid bending the cable beyond the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius, and use proper strain relief where the cable enters panels or equipment. Verify link parameters with appropriate test equipment after installation, especially in InfiniBand or other high-bandwidth applications.
