Kuitukaapeli S/CONN ShiverPeaks 07-514815 30 m

The ShiverPeaks Fibre optic cable S/CONN 07-514815 30 m is a 30-metre multimode OM5 patch cable equipped with SC connectors on both ends for reliable full-duplex connections. With a 50 µm core diameter it is engineered to support high-bandwidth, short- to medium-range optical links typically used in data centers, server rooms and enterprise network closets. The cable construction balances optical performance with mechanical durability to provide consistent transmission for high-speed applications.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides low attenuation and stable modal bandwidth typical of OM5 multimode fibre, enabling efficient transmission of high data rates over the specified length. The SC connectors ensure simple push-pull mating and consistent connection performance. The 30 m length offers flexibility for installations where longer patch runs are required while maintaining signal integrity and full-duplex capability for simultaneous bidirectional data flow.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and inter-rack connections
• Server room fibre links and equipment interconnects
• Campus backbone segments for short- to medium-range multimode links
• High-bandwidth applications such as 40/100 GbE aggregation and storage networking

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM5
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC on both ends
• Cable length: 30 metres
• Transmission mode: Full duplex

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before installation and clean if necessary using appropriate fibre cleaning tools to avoid contamination. Route the cable following bend-radius recommendations and avoid tight loops or sharp edges to preserve optical performance. Insert SC connectors into compatible SC ports until they click into place for a secure connection. For full-duplex operation, ensure each fiber strand is connected to the corresponding transmit and receive ports on network equipment.

Recommendations

Use this OM5 fibre cable in controlled indoor environments such as data centres or server rooms. Maintain proper cable management, avoid excessive bending and protect connectors with dust caps when not connected. For links beyond the specified length or for outdoor installations, choose appropriate singlemode or specially rated outdoor cables.
