Kuitukaapeli ShiverPeaks BS07-500215 1 m LC vihreä

The ShiverPeaks BS07-500215 1 m LC Green fibre optic cable is an OM5 multimode link designed for short-range, high-bandwidth connections. With a 50 µm core diameter and LC connectors on both ends, the cable supports full duplex transmission and is suitable for installation in structured cabling systems and network equipment racks. The green jacket identifies it as an OM5 multimode cable, providing compatibility with modern multimode transceivers and enabling reliable high-speed data transfer in data centers and enterprise networks.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers low insertion loss and consistent multimode performance across the supported wavelength range, ensuring stable signal quality for short to medium link distances. The LC duplex connectors provide a compact footprint for high-density panels and transceiver ports, while the 1 m length reduces excess slack in rack-mounted setups. The OM5 multimode construction improves support for wideband applications compared with older multimode types, helping to future-proof multimode installations where higher throughput is required.

Suitable for

• Interconnection between network switches, patch panels and transceivers within racks
• High-density fibre patching in data centres and server rooms
• Short-range multimode links for storage area networks (SAN) and enterprise LANs
• Environments requiring compact LC duplex connectors and colour-coded cabling

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC duplex
• Length: 1 m
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Green (OM5 identification)

How to use

Route the 1 m LC duplex cable between the LC ports of the network devices, patch panels or transceivers to be connected. Align and insert the LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports until a positive latch is felt; ensure the duplex clip orientation matches the port orientation for correct transmit/receive alignment. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the fibre manufacturer when installing in trays or cable management to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep connector end faces clean and use fibre cleaning tools before insertion. Use this OM5 cable for short-distance, high-density applications and verify transceiver compatibility with multimode wideband specifications when deploying higher-speed links.
