Kuitukaapeli ShiverPeaks BS77941/3 1 m LC ST aqua

The ShiverPeaks BS77941/3 1m LC ST Aqua is an OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for high-speed network connections. It features an LC connector on one end and an ST connector on the other, a 50 µm core diameter and supports full duplex transmission. The aqua jacket provides standard colour coding for OM3 installations and helps distinguish this cable within racks and patch panels.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers low insertion loss and controlled modal bandwidth characteristics typical of OM3 multimode fibres, enabling reliable short- to medium-distance data transmission. The combination of LC and ST connectors provides compatibility with equipment using different connector interfaces, reducing the need for adapters. The 1 metre length is convenient for tidy connections in confined rack spaces or for linking adjacent network devices.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and trunking between switches and transceivers
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch connections in racks
• Equipment requiring mixed LC and ST connector interfaces
• Local multimode fibre links and short backbone segments

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 1 metre
• Connector A: LC
• Connector B: ST
• Transmission: Full duplex
• Outer jacket colour: Aqua

How to use

Prepare the ports on both devices by ensuring they are clean and free of dust. Insert the LC connector into the matching LC port and the ST connector into the matching ST port until each connector clicks or seats securely. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment or cable manufacturer. Verify link status on connected devices and test signal integrity with appropriate fibre testers if precise performance verification is required.

Recommendations

Store and install the OM3 fibre in controlled environments, avoid contaminating connector endfaces and use dust caps when connectors are not in use. For best performance, periodically inspect and clean connectors with approved fibre cleaning tools and follow industry-standard commissioning tests for multimode fibre links.
