Kuituoptinen kaapeli BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-15M-BO Aqua 15 m SC SC

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-15M-BO Aqua is a 15-metre OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable with SC connectors on both ends, designed for full duplex communication and high-speed data transfer. The cable uses laser-optimized multimode fibre suitable for short- to medium-range backbone and horizontal links in data centres and network racks. Its aqua-coloured LSZH sheath aids visual identification and reduces halogen release and smoke in the event of fire.

Advantages

This SC‑to‑SC OM3 cable offers low attenuation and high return loss values thanks to quality multimode fibre and precision connectors. Connectors are fitted with zirconia ceramic ferrules and the assembly is tested with interferometer and OTDR to provide measurement results for insertion loss and return loss. The flame-retardant LSZH jacket and compliance with common industrial standards support safe installation in enclosed spaces and structured cabling environments.

How to use

Inspect the cable and connector endfaces before installation and remove protective caps only when ready to terminate. Route the cable through the rack or cable tray avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Insert each SC connector into matching SC ports on patch panels or transceivers until the connector latches securely. Verify link performance using appropriate optical test equipment and compare results with the supplied insertion loss and return loss measurements.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry, dust-free environment. Clean connectors with approved fibre cleaning tools before each connection, and follow standard fibre safety procedures when testing or terminating the cable. For installations requiring longer reach or singlemode transmission, select an appropriate fibre type instead of OM3.
