kuituoptinen kaapeli ShiverPeaks BS07-510315 2 m SC vihreä

The ShiverPeaks BS07-510315 2m SC Green is an OM5 multimode fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends, designed for full duplex data transmission. With a 50 µm core diameter, the cable supports high-speed short-range networking and is suitable for use in environments where low attenuation and reliable signal integrity are required. The green jacket identifies the OM5 specification and helps with quick visual management in rack and patch panel installations.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable provides consistent multimode performance with optimized bandwidth for short-reach high-data-rate applications. The SC connectors offer robust push-pull coupling for secure mating and easy handling. A 2 metre length balances flexibility and reduced insertion loss for typical rack-to-rack or equipment-to-patch connections. The green outer sheath simplifies OM5 identification in mixed-fibre environments and supports organized cable management.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and short-reach interconnects
• High-performance computing clusters and rack connections
• Enterprise LAN backbones and aggregation links
• Testing and lab environments requiring OM5 multimode fibre

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 2 m
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Green (OM5 identification)

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before insertion and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Align the SC connectors with the adapter or port and insert until the connector latches; ensure both ends are securely mated for full duplex operation. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain minimum bend radius as specified by standard multimode fibre handling guidelines. After installation, verify connectivity and performance with suitable optical test equipment to confirm expected insertion loss and link quality.

Recommendations

Store the fibre cable coiled loosely and avoid sharp bends or kinks. Use labelled cable management paths and colour-coding to keep OM5 runs distinguishable. For long-term reliability, perform regular inspections of connector endfaces and re-clean before re-mating. Use compatible OM5 equipment and transceivers to ensure optimal multimode performance.
