Kulmahiomakone DEWALT DCG408NT akku 18 volttia keltainen/musta

The DEWALT DCG408NT Cordless 18 Volt Yellow/Black angle grinder is a battery-powered grinding and cutting tool designed for general purpose and professional use. It uses an 18 V lithium-ion battery (sold separately) and a brushless motor to deliver efficient power for cutting, grinding, and polishing tasks. The tool’s compact body and ergonomic side handle provide improved control and reduced user fatigue during extended operation, while integrated safety features help manage kickback and guard movement.

Advantages

The brushless motor improves energy efficiency and reduces maintenance compared with brushed alternatives, extending runtime and motor life. The cordless design offers freedom of movement on job sites without trailing power cords. The compact form factor and ergonomic grip provide better handling in tight spaces and during overhead work. Safety features, including a protective guard and an anti-kickback mechanism, enhance operational control and reduce the risk of accidents when working with abrasive discs.

Suitable for

• Cutting metal, tile, and masonry
• Grinding welds and removing rust or paint
• Polishing and surface preparation
• On-site construction and maintenance tasks where portability is needed

Key specifications

• Power type: 18 V cordless (battery not included)
• Motor type: brushless motor for improved efficiency
• Disc size compatibility: standard angle grinder discs (typical 115 mm/125 mm class — check disc size before use)
• Ergonomics: compact body with side handle for two-handed control
• Safety features: protective guard and anti-kickback control

How to use

Install a compatible 18 V battery (not included) and select a disc suitable for the intended task. Ensure the guard is correctly positioned and tightened, and attach the side handle for secure two-handed operation. Start the tool and allow it to reach full speed before applying it to the workpiece. Use steady, controlled movements appropriate to the material and disc type, avoiding excessive pressure that can overload the motor or damage the disc. After use, switch off and remove the battery before changing discs or performing maintenance.

Recommendations

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, gloves, and hearing protection. Match disc type and RPM rating to the task and the grinder’s maximum safe speed. Inspect discs and the guard regularly for damage and replace any worn or compromised components. Store batteries separately and follow manufacturer guidance for charging and storage to maintain battery health.
