How to use

Position the cable in the tool so the blade engages the insulation at the required stripping length, close the tool to cut through the insulation and then pull the tool along the conductor or pull the cut insulation off to expose the conductor. Keep the hinged blade guard in the closed position when the blade is not in use and replace the blade when it becomes dull. Follow standard electrical safety practices and ensure the cable is de‑energised before stripping.

Recommendations

Use the Knipex 98 56 for clean, controlled stripping of cable insulation; always confirm the blade is secure and the cable is de‑energised. Replace the blade with a matching spare part when cutting performance decreases.
