Langaton tukiasema LevelOne AC900 5GHz Wi-Fi 802.11ac

The LevelOne WAB-8010 (AC900) is an outdoor single‑band 802.11ac wireless access point operating on the 5 GHz band. It delivers up to 867 Mbps wireless throughput, supports MU‑MIMO Wave 2 for simultaneous high‑bandwidth connections, and is designed for outdoor deployments with an IP65 weatherproof rating. The unit supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation and offers a single Gigabit Ethernet port for backhaul connectivity.

Advantages

The access point provides high wireless speeds up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and MU‑MIMO Wave 2 to serve multiple clients concurrently. Its IP65‑rated housing protects against rain, dust and snow for reliable outdoor performance. PoE support removes the need for a separate power supply, simplifying mounting and installation. The device supports standard Wi‑Fi security algorithms (WEP, WPA, WPA2) and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for flexible integration into existing networks.

Suitable for

• Outdoor Wi‑Fi coverage for small to medium outdoor areas
• Point‑to‑multi‑point access where clients require 5 GHz connectivity
• Public outdoor access in parks, campuses, or event locations
• Surveillance camera backhaul and outdoor IoT device connectivity

How to use

Mount the WAB-8010 in a suitable outdoor location with clear line of sight if long‑range coverage is needed. Connect a Cat5e/Cat6 cable from your PoE switch or PoE injector to the device's RJ‑45 port to provide both power and network connectivity. Configure wireless settings (SSID, channel, security) via the device management interface according to your network policy. Place the antenna and housing so they face the coverage area, and verify signal and throughput with client devices.

Recommendations

For stable outdoor performance, use outdoor‑rated Ethernet cabling and PoE equipment, ensure firmware is up to date, and install the access point at an elevated position with minimal physical obstructions. Use 5 GHz where interference is low for best throughput; consider channel planning when multiple APs are deployed.
