Liiketunnistin Steinel 055790 — PIR 180° rele, valkoinen, sisä IP20

Steinel 055790 is an indoor PIR motion sensor with a 180° detection angle and a built-in relay output. Finished in white and rated IP20 for indoor environments, this compact sensor detects human movement across a wide field and switches lighting or other connected loads. It is intended for installation on walls or ceilings in corridors, stairwells and rooms where automatic on/off control improves convenience and energy efficiency. The device is engineered for straightforward wiring into basic lighting circuits and offers adjustable sensitivity and time settings for tailored operation.

Advantages

The sensor provides a wide 180° coverage area that reduces the number of devices needed to cover corridors and open indoor spaces. Relay switching enables direct control of lighting or other low-voltage loads without additional interface modules. The white finish allows discreet integration into most interior décors while the IP20 rating makes it suitable for typical dry indoor environments. Simple electrical connections and compact dimensions support fast installation and low visual impact.

Suitable for

• Indoor corridors and hallways
• Stairwells and landings
• Residential and small commercial rooms
• Utility rooms, storage areas and closets

Key specifications

• Detection type: Passive infrared (PIR)
• Detection angle: 180°
• Installation location: Indoor wall or ceiling mounting
• Output: Relay switching for lighting or loads
• Finish: White
• Ingress protection: IP20 (indoor use, dry locations)
• Adjustable parameters: Sensitivity and time delay settings

How to use

Mount the sensor at the recommended height and position to maximize the 180° coverage and align it with expected movement paths. Connect the relay output into the lighting circuit following local electrical regulations and ensure power is isolated during installation. Adjust sensitivity to avoid false triggers from minor movements and set the time delay to define how long the load remains active after motion ceases. Test the sensor operation after wiring and adjustments to confirm reliable switching across the intended detection zone.

Recommendations

Place the sensor where direct sightlines to walking paths are unobstructed and avoid mounting facing windows or heating sources that may cause false activations. For corridors, position the unit centrally along the wall at recommended height to exploit the 180° field. Regularly inspect wiring connections and clean the lens surface gently to maintain detection performance.
