Lindy 45988 verkkokaapeli keltainen 20 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

Lindy 45988 is a 20 m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable designed for data transmission up to 250 MHz and Ethernet speeds up to 1 GBase-T (1000 Mbit/s). The cable features a braided overall shield and foil shielding for each pair, gold-plated RJ‑45 contacts and a halogen-free (LSZH) outer sheath. It is manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and supplied individually in a polybag.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction with braid and foil shields reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting stable Gigabit Ethernet and AV extension applications. Gold-plated RJ‑45 contacts provide corrosion-resistant, reliable connectivity over time. A snagless strain-relief design protects the connector latch during installation and removal. The LSZH sheath minimises smoke and eliminates halogen emissions, making the cable suitable for public spaces.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet (1 GBase-T) networks
• AV extension and professional network installations
• Environments where low smoke and halogen-free materials are required (public buildings)
• Structured cabling compliant with ISO/IEC 11801

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat6 (ISO/IEC 11801)
• Shielding: S/FTP (braid overall + foil per pair)
• Bandwidth / frequency: up to 250 MHz
• Maximum supported Ethernet: 1 GBase-T (1000 Mbit/s)
• Length: 20 m
• Connectors: RJ‑45 to RJ‑45, gold-plated contacts
• Sheath: LSZH (halogen-free)
• Colour: Yellow

How to use

Connect one RJ‑45 connector to the network device or patch panel and the other connector to the target device or switch. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages; the snagless design helps prevent damage to the latch during repeated plugging and unplugging. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and strong mechanical strain to maintain shielding and signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the Lindy 45988 Cat6 S/FTP cable for Gigabit network runs up to standard channel lengths, avoid running parallel to high-voltage power lines, and terminate through compatible RJ‑45 jacks or patch panels rated for Cat6 to preserve shielding and bandwidth.
