How to use

Set the stand on a level surface and ensure the base is stable before mounting a microphone. Adjust the main column height to the desired working level and tighten the height-locking knob. Extend and angle the boom arm to position the microphone accurately in front of the sound source, then secure the boom-locking knob to prevent movement. Attach the microphone using the appropriate clip or shock mount and connect cables, routing them safely along the stand to avoid trip hazards. Make small positional adjustments while monitoring sound to achieve the preferred balance and proximity effect.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, check all knobs and fittings before each use, avoid over-tightening plastic components, and route microphone cables neatly to prevent accidental pulls. When used in live situations, place the base where it will not obstruct foot traffic and consider using cable ties or tape to secure cables to the floor. For studio work, use a shock mount to reduce handling noise and vibration transfer.
