Mono 3,5 mm -plugi ShiverPeaks 22220510, metallikotelo, 3,5 mm mono-plugi

The ShiverPeaks Mono 3.5 mm Jack Connector 22220510 is a compact metal-housed mono audio plug designed for reliable signal transmission in single-channel audio setups. Its 3.5 mm mono plug form factor makes it suitable for repairing and assembling audio cables where a two-conductor mono connection is required, such as in certain instruments, portable recorders and consumer audio devices that use a mono input or output. The metal housing provides mechanical durability and stable contact for frequent insertions and removals.

Advantages

The metal housing increases mechanical strength and helps protect the soldered joint and internal contacts from wear. The 3.5 mm mono plug geometry ensures compatibility with standard mono jacks and provides a compact connection suitable for confined spaces in consumer and pro-sumer audio equipment. The connector is intended for straightforward cable assembly and replacement of worn or damaged plugs, enabling restoration of signal integrity in mono audio chains.

Suitable for

• Repairing or replacing worn mono plugs on instruments and effect pedals
• DIY cable assemblies for compact recorders and portable audio devices
• Connecting mono outputs to small mixers or consumer audio equipment
• Situations where a compact, durable mono jack is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: 3.5 mm mono jack (two-conductor)
• Housing material: metal for improved durability
• Application: mono signal transmission for instruments, recorders and consumer audio
• Form factor: compact, low-profile plug suitable for confined spaces

How to use

Strip the cable to expose the signal conductor and shield according to the connector's assembly requirements, taking care not to nick the conductors. Solder the signal conductor to the tip contact and the shield to the sleeve contact following standard wiring polarity for mono plugs. Assemble the metal housing over the soldered contacts and secure any fastening screws or strain relief components supplied with the connector. Test continuity with a multimeter and verify signal routing before final installation.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, use appropriately sized cable with correct conductor insulation, apply minimal heat during soldering to protect contacts, and ensure the housing is fully seated to provide strain relief. Regularly inspect the plug and jack contacts for oxidation or mechanical wear and replace the plug if intermittent contact occurs.
