How to use

Place the mortar on a stable, flat surface before use to ensure safe and effective grinding. Add the ingredients in small amounts to allow even crushing; use the pestle with firm, controlled pressure and a twisting motion to break down seeds, spices or herbs to the desired consistency. For pastes like pesto, combine herbs, nuts and oil gradually while grinding until the texture is achieved. Rinse and dry after each use according to care guidance to maintain the granite surface and stainless steel rim.

Recommendations

To protect the granite surface, avoid sudden temperature changes and do not use metal utensils for scraping. Clean by rinsing with warm water and, if needed, a mild detergent; dry thoroughly. For optimal aroma and flavor, grind spices just before cooking and store prepared blends in airtight containers.
