NETGEAR 8-porttinen Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ -kytkin (GS308EPP)

NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Switch (GS308EPP) is an unmanaged-managed hybrid 8‑port Gigabit switch with Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) capability, designed for small office, home office and compact business networks. The switch provides eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ‑45 ports with IEEE 802.3at/802.3af PoE support and a total PoE budget of up to 240 W, allowing simultaneous power and data delivery to multiple devices. The GS308EPP is housed in a compact black enclosure suitable for desktop placement or wall mounting and follows common Ethernet networking standards for compatibility with existing infrastructure.

Advantages

The NETGEAR GS308EPP combines full Gigabit performance with PoE+ power delivery, enabling simplified installation of IP cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points and other powered devices without separate power supplies. Its managed feature set supports basic network configuration and traffic optimization while maintaining a straightforward setup for users familiar with small network management. The compact black design and multiple mounting options offer flexible placement in home or small business environments.

Suitable for

• Powering and connecting IP security cameras in small office or home installations
• Supplying PoE to wireless access points and VoIP phones in compact networks
• Expanding Gigabit connectivity for workgroups, small offices and home labs

How to use

Place the GS308EPP on a stable surface or mount it on a wall using compatible mounting hardware. Connect the switch to your network router or uplink using a Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable to one of the Gigabit ports. Attach IP cameras, wireless access points or VoIP phones to the remaining PoE-enabled ports; the switch will supply power automatically to IEEE 802.3af/at compliant devices up to the total 240 W budget. Access the switch’s management interface via the provided web-based tools or utility to configure VLANs, QoS, and simple monitoring options according to your network requirements.

Recommendations

For reliable PoE deployment, calculate total power consumption of connected devices to ensure the combined draw does not exceed the 240 W PoE budget. Use Cat5e or higher cables for Gigabit performance and limit cable runs to recommended Ethernet distances. Apply basic VLAN or QoS settings in the management interface to prioritise traffic for VoIP or surveillance streams where needed.
