NVMe M.2 SSD-kotelo LC-Power LC-M2-C-NVME-4 USB 3.1 Type-C M.2 NVMe-asemille

The NVMe M.2 SSD Enclosure LC-Power LC-M2-C-NVME-4 USB 3.1 Type-C for M.2 NVMe drives is an external housing that allows a single M.2 NVMe SSD to connect to a host system via a USB 3.1 Type-C interface. It converts an internal M.2 NVMe drive into a portable external storage device for fast data transfer, backups, and file migration. The enclosure is intended for users who need to access or transport an NVMe SSD outside of a desktop or laptop.

Advantages

The enclosure provides a straightforward solution to reuse or repurpose M.2 NVMe SSDs as external drives without requiring internal installation. Using a USB 3.1 Type-C connection enables high-speed data transfer compatible with hosts that support USB 3.1. The single-drive design keeps the unit compact and portable while offering a direct interface for NVMe SSDs, simplifying tasks such as cloning, backup, or expanding external storage capacity.

Suitable for

• Expanding laptop or desktop external storage using an M.2 NVMe SSD
• Quick migration of data from one system to another
• Portable backups and secure transport of large files
• Using spare M.2 NVMe drives as external media for testing or troubleshooting

Key specifications

• Form factor: External enclosure for a single M.2 NVMe SSD
• Interface to host: USB 3.1 Type-C
• Drive interface supported: M.2 NVMe (PCIe-based) SSDs
• Use case: External portable storage, data transfer, backup
• Compatibility: Systems with a USB Type-C port supporting USB 3.1 or compatible modes

How to use

Open the enclosure according to the manufacturer's instructions, insert a compatible M.2 NVMe SSD into the M.2 slot and secure it with the provided screw or fastening mechanism. Close the enclosure and connect it to the host system using the included USB 3.1 Type-C cable. The host should recognise the drive as external storage; if necessary, initialise or format the drive using the operating system's disk management tools before first use. Safely eject the drive from the host before disconnecting to avoid data loss.

Recommendations

Use the enclosure on systems with USB 3.1 Type-C ports for optimal transfer speeds and ensure the NVMe SSD is compatible with the M.2 NVMe standard. Handle the SSD and enclosure on a static-free surface and avoid exposing the unit to moisture or extreme temperatures during operation and transport.
