Objektiivin suojakansi, Canon, EB

The Canon Lens Dust Cap EB is a protective front cap designed for Canon EF-M lenses. It provides a simple mechanical barrier against dust, dirt and light surface scratches when the lens is not in use. Made in black to match the appearance of most mirrorless setups, the cap is lightweight and intended for regular attachment and removal during storage and transport.

Advantages

The cap offers reliable protection by covering the front element of EF-M lenses, reducing the risk of particulate contamination and incidental marks. Its form-factor ensures a secure fit without requiring additional clips or adapters. The lightweight construction minimises added bulk, and the neutral black finish maintains a discreet, professional appearance on the camera or in a bag.

How to use

To use the dust cap, align it with the front of the EF-M lens and press gently until it snaps into place, ensuring the cap is seated evenly around the lens rim. To remove, pull the cap straight off using even force to avoid touching the lens glass. Regularly inspect the interior of the cap for debris and clean it with a soft cloth if necessary to prevent transferring particles to the lens surface.

Recommendations

Store the lens dust cap on the lens whenever the camera is not in use. Avoid placing the cap facing down on dirty surfaces; keep both the cap and lens in a clean, dry compartment of your camera bag. If the cap becomes cracked or loose, replace it to maintain reliable protection for your lens optics.
