Optinen (Toslink) adapteri ShiverPeaks 69055 – digitaalinen audioliitin, liitäntä-liitäntä

The Optical (Toslink) Adapter ShiverPeaks 69055 is a female-to-female optical audio connector that provides a straightforward way to join or extend Toslink/optical S/PDIF cables. It is intended for passive coupling of fiber-optic audio lines, enabling signal routing between devices such as TVs, soundbars, home theater receivers, DACs and other audio components that use the standard square optical connector. The adapter maintains the digital optical path without converting signal formats, making it suitable when a simple extension or reconfiguration of an optical cable run is required.

Advantages

The adapter offers a compact, tool-free solution for connecting two optical cables while preserving the integrity of the digital audio signal. Its female-to-female design allows flexible placement between devices and cables, reducing the need to replace cables or re-route existing installations. The passive construction avoids electrical interference and does not require power, offering reliable transmission for S/PDIF optical audio links.

Suitable for

• Extending an existing Toslink/optical cable run
• Connecting TV optical output to soundbars or AV receivers
• Linking DACs or external audio processors to source components
• Adapting cable layouts in home theater and multimedia setups

Key specifications

• Connector type: Toslink (optical) female-to-female
• Signal type: S/PDIF digital optical audio
• Design: Passive, no power required
• Compatibility: Standard square optical plugs used on consumer audio equipment
• Form factor: Compact inline coupler suitable for tight spaces

How to use

To use the adapter, align and insert the male Toslink plugs of two optical cables into each end of the coupler until they click or seat firmly. Ensure both cable ends are clean and free of dust before connection to prevent signal attenuation. The adapter does not require configuration; once the cables are joined, verify audio output on the connected devices and adjust device settings as needed to route S/PDIF audio through the optical path.

Recommendations

Keep optical connector ends covered or capped when not in use and avoid bending connected fiber-optic cables sharply. For longer runs, use high-quality Toslink cables to minimize signal loss and check device audio settings to confirm compatible sample rates and formats.
