Patch-kaapeli ShiverPeaks S/FTP BS75750-AS 50 m halogeeniton

ShiverPeaks S/FTP BS75750-AS 50 m Halogen-Free patch cable is a screened foiled twisted pair Ethernet cable designed for structured cabling and short-distance network interconnections. The cable features individually foil-screened pairs with an overall braided screen to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity in environments with multiple cables and electronic equipment. Its halogen-free construction limits harmful emissions in case of fire, making it suitable for installations where low smoke and toxicity are required.

Advantages

The S/FTP topology provides improved protection against crosstalk and external noise compared with unshielded alternatives, supporting stable data transmission between switches, patch panels and network devices. The halogen-free jacket reduces corrosive and toxic gas release during combustion, aligning with stricter safety requirements in commercial and residential buildings. The 50 m length is convenient for longer patch runs without additional splice points, and the robust screening helps maintain throughput over the full cable run.

Suitable for

• Patching between switches and patch panels in wiring closets and telecom rooms
• Horizontal runs in office and commercial premises where EMI protection is needed
• Connections between network devices in server rooms and data cabinets
• Residential installations where halogen-free materials are preferred for safety

Key specifications

• Cable type: S/FTP (foiled twisted pairs with overall braid)
• Length: 50 m
• Jacket material: halogen-free compound
• Screening: individual foil for each pair plus overall braided screen
• Application: structured cabling, patching and short-distance Ethernet links

How to use

Route the cable along cable trays or within ducts and avoid tight bends; respect the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to preserve screening and conductor performance. Terminate both ends with compatible RJ45 connectors or patch panels designed for screened cables, ensuring proper grounding of the overall braid to maintain EMI protection. When making connections, avoid excessive pulling force and use appropriate strain relief at patch panels and device ports. Test the installed link with a certified network tester to verify continuity, pair integrity and shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, pair the ShiverPeaks S/FTP cable with screened connectors and maintain continuous grounding of the cable shield. Keep power cabling separated from data runs and avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage lines to minimize interference. Use cable management hardware to prevent sharp bends and mechanical stress over the 50 m run.
