Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks 08-64016 CAT 6 S/FTP PIMF, 4 paria, suojattu

ShiverPeaks 08-64016 CAT 6 S/FTP PIMF, 4-pair, shielded is a network cable designed for high-speed Ethernet links where electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection and reduced crosstalk are required. The cable uses four twisted pairs with individual foil shielding around each pair and an overall metal foil braid (PIMF) to provide enhanced signal integrity for structured cabling in offices, data centers and LAN backbone runs. The product is suitable for shielded CAT6 installations and supports typical CAT6 performance in environments with elevated noise or densely cabled installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF construction combines individual pair foil shields with an overall metal foil layer to reduce pair-to-pair crosstalk and to improve immunity against external electromagnetic interference. This shielding approach helps maintain stable transmission characteristics over standard CAT6 distances and supports consistent network performance in environments with network equipment, power cabling or other potential interference sources. The cable's four twisted pairs are optimized for balanced signal transmission and meeting the requirements of CAT6-class installations.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in office and commercial buildings
• LAN backbone and horizontal runs requiring shielded CAT6
• Data center rack-to-rack or patch panel connections
• Installations in electrically noisy environments or near power cabling

Key specifications

• Cable category: CAT6 (shielded)
• Shielding: S/FTP with individual pair foil and overall metal foil (PIMF)
• Conductor pairs: 4 twisted pairs
• Typical use: Ethernet high-speed links, structured cabling

How to use

Install the ShiverPeaks CAT6 S/FTP PIMF cable following standard structured cabling practices: route the cable along designated cable trays or conduits, avoid sharp bends and maintain minimum bend radius, and terminate on compatible shielded RJ45 connectors or patch panels that provide proper shield continuity. Ensure that cable shields are correctly grounded at one or both ends according to local installation standards to achieve the intended EMI protection. Test the installed links with appropriate certification or verification tools to confirm performance and continuity.

Recommendations

Use shielded connectors and patch panels that match the cable's S/FTP PIMF design and ensure consistent grounding to preserve shield effectiveness. For best results, follow CAT6 installation guidelines for bend radius, pull tension and separation from high-voltage power lines.
