Patch-kaapeli ohut patch-kaapelit ohut Light STP verkkokaapeli musta 2 m Cat6 U/FTP

The SLIM Patchcords SLIM Light STP networking cable is a 2 m Cat6 U/FTP patch cable designed for reliable Gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) use. It combines a slim round unshielded construction with an alternative fully shielded (F/FTP) variant; the unshielded version has a cable diameter of approximately 2.8 mm while the shielded version measures just under 4 mm. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contacts and low signal loss, and the compact black design suits installations where space is limited.

Advantages

The cable family offers a very slim round profile that conserves space while maintaining Cat6 performance up to 1000 Mbit/s. The shielded F/FTP option provides additional protection against electromagnetic interference for environments requiring improved noise immunity. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact reliability and reduce oxidation-related signal degradation. Available in both U/FTP (unshielded pairs with foil) and fully shielded F/FTP constructions to match different installation needs.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections (up to 1000 Mbit/s)
• Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices and mid-span injectors
• Tidy or space-constrained installations where a slim cable is preferred
• Office and home networking patch panels, switches, and routers

How to use

Connect the gold-plated RJ-45 plugs to the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices such as switches, routers, patch panels or PoE equipment. Ensure the connector latches click into place to secure the connection. For shielded (F/FTP) versions, make sure the connected equipment or patch panel provides proper grounding to benefit from the cable's shielding. Route the cable through cable ducts or along edges to keep the installation tidy and avoid sharp bends that could stress the conductors.

Recommendations

Use the unshielded (~2.8 mm) version for most standard office and home installations where space saving is important. Choose the shielded F/FTP variant when working in environments with significant electromagnetic interference or when equipment grounding is available; always follow grounding best practices for shielded cables.
