Pora Bosch 2608597645 18 mm halkaisija, 450 mm pituus

Bosch 18 mm diameter, 450 mm length drill bit (model 2608597645) is a long-reach twist drill designed for drilling deeper or hard-to-reach holes in a variety of building materials. The extended length provides additional reach for installation and renovation tasks where standard bits are too short. The bit is intended for use with rotary drills that accept an 18 mm diameter shank and is engineered to deliver consistent, precise drilling performance when used according to the drill and material specifications.

Advantages

The extended 450 mm length enables access to recessed or deep drilling points without the need for additional extensions. An 18 mm diameter offers a balance between hole size and rigidity to maintain straight, accurate holes. The geometry and cutting edges are designed to provide stable chip removal and reduce wobble during operation. The bit is compatible with common drill chucks that accept the specified diameter, allowing straightforward installation and replacement.

How to use

Install the drill bit securely into a drill chuck rated for the bit diameter, ensuring correct seating and tightening before use. Select an appropriate drill speed and feed rate for the material being worked—slower speeds for masonry or concrete and moderate speeds for timber—while applying steady, controlled pressure. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and, where required, dust extraction or water cooling methods suitable for the material to manage debris and heat. Withdraw the bit periodically when drilling deep holes to clear chips and reduce heat buildup.

Recommendations

Verify that the drill and chuck can safely accept an 18 mm bit and the extended length. For drilling into concrete or masonry, pre-mark the depth and consider using a hammer drill function or suitable drilling technique. For timber or softer materials, maintain straight alignment and avoid excessive speeds that can cause burning or wandering. Replace the bit if cutting performance deteriorates or if significant wear or damage is observed.
