Puheverkkomoduli Auerswald COMpact 2FXO moduuli

The Auerswald COMpact 2FXO Modul is a compact voice network module designed to integrate into Auerswald communication systems and compatible PBX platforms that accept expansion modules. With a small footprint (approximately 160 mm × 25 mm × 70 mm) the module provides two FXO interfaces for connection to conventional analogue PSTN lines, enabling outgoing and incoming calls via public telephone networks. The module is intended for installation in systems where additional analogue trunk ports are required to expand telephony capacity and to maintain interoperability with legacy lines.

Advantages

The module delivers two independent FXO ports in a compact housing that conserves rack or cabinet space. It supports reliable voice transmission over standard analogue lines and allows organisations to combine IP-based telephony with existing PSTN infrastructure. The product’s form factor and connector arrangement simplify integration into compatible Auerswald systems, reducing the need for external adapters or separate gateway devices.

Suitable for

• Adding analogue trunk lines to an Auerswald PBX or compatible telephone system
• Migrating from traditional PSTN to hybrid IP/PSTN environments
• Small and medium-sized offices that require a limited number of analogue external lines
• Maintaining failover or backup voice connectivity when IP services are unavailable

Key specifications

• Interface type: 2 FXO analogue ports for connection to public switched telephone networks
• Physical dimensions: approximately 160 mm (W) × 25 mm (D) × 70 mm (H)
• Compatibility: designed for integration with Auerswald COMpact series systems and compatible expansion slots
• Mounting: module form factor suitable for insertion into compatible host systems
• Functionality: supports incoming and outgoing voice calls via analogue lines and standard signalling methods used on PSTN

How to use

Install the COMpact 2FXO Modul into the appropriate expansion slot of a compatible Auerswald system following the manufacturer’s installation procedure. Connect the FXO ports to external analogue telephone lines using standard telephone cables and verify line connectivity in the system’s administration interface. Configure line parameters and routing rules within the host PBX to control call handling, caller ID mapping, and dial plan behaviour. After installation, perform test calls to confirm both incoming and outgoing call paths and adjust system settings as required.

Recommendations

Ensure the host system firmware supports the 2FXO module before installation and use line testing to confirm compatibility with local PSTN signalling. For mission-critical installations, keep at least one alternative routing method (for example SIP trunk or additional analogue line) available to provide redundancy in case of line failure.
