Pultti-/ketjuleikkuri Knipex 71 72 760

The Knipex 71 72 760 bolt/chain cutter is a professional-quality cutting tool designed for cutting bolts, chains and similar metal components. Manufactured in Germany, this cutter combines a robust steel cutting head with ergonomic plastic handles finished in blue and red. With an overall length of 760 mm and a weight of 4.25 kg, it provides the reach and mass needed to deliver controlled, efficient cuts on medium to heavy-duty metal fasteners.

Advantages

The cutter features hardened steel blades that maintain sharpness under repeated use and resist deformation when cutting tough metal parts. The long handles increase leverage to reduce user effort while the molded plastic grips provide a stable, comfortable hold and help prevent slipping. The design balances durability and serviceability to suit frequent professional use.

Suitable for

• Cutting bolts, rods and metal fasteners
• Severing chains and link assemblies
• Maintenance and repair work in mechanical workshops
• Construction and demolition tasks requiring metal cutting

Key specifications

• Tool type: bolt and chain cutter
• Overall length: 760 mm
• Weight: 4.25 kg
• Blade material: hardened steel
• Handle: molded plastic grips (blue and red)
• Country of manufacture: Germany

How to use

Position the cutter jaws around the bolt, chain link or rod to be cut, ensuring the material sits correctly in the cutting zone. Apply steady force to the handles, using the leverage provided by the 760 mm length to close the blades and complete the cut. For best results, keep the blades aligned with the material and make a single controlled stroke rather than repeated twisting. After use, wipe any metal debris from the blades and store the tool in a dry place to prevent corrosion.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate hand protection and eye protection when cutting metal. Inspect blades before each use for damage or excessive wear and avoid cutting hardened or tempered steel beyond the tool's intended capacity. Regularly clean and lightly oil pivot points to maintain smooth operation.
