KNIPEX Twistor16® crimping tool set in a TANOS MINI-systainer® includes a crimping tool with a rotating head and stackable insert case. The Twistor16® mechanism provides a square crimp profile across a wide capacity range and a forced locking mechanism that ensures consistent high-quality crimps. The MINI-systainer® with T‑Loc closure stores the tool and up to twelve connectors securely in two plastic inserts.

Advantages

The Twistor16® crimping head rotates to allow flexible access when crimping wire end sleeves and supports a broad range of conductor cross-sections from 0.14 to 16 mm². The tool accepts extra-long wire end sleeves that can be pushed up and can compress twin wire end sleeves up to 2 x 6 mm². How to use

Select the correct wire end sleeve for the conductor cross-section, insert the stripped conductor into the sleeve, and position the sleeve in the Twistor16® crimping head. Rotate the head as required to obtain comfortable access, then close the handles until the forced locking mechanism completes the crimp. Unlock the mechanism if necessary to release the tool and inspect the crimp for correct square profile and secure connection. Store the tool and connectors in the MINI-systainer® inserts after use.

Recommendations

Use the tool only with wire end sleeves within the specified range (0.14–16 mm² and twin up to 2 x 6 mm²). Regularly inspect and maintain the crimping head and hinge for wear, and keep the MINI-systainer® inserts organised to prevent damage to connectors during transport.
