RCA-liitin ShiverPeaks 52024-R kullattu, punainen kotelo

The ShiverPeaks Cinch Connector 52024-R is an RCA (Cinch) plug with gold-plated signal contacts and a red-colored housing, designed for terminating audio and video cables. It provides corrosion-resistant contact surfaces to maintain reliable analogue signal transfer and a color-coded shell for quick channel identification. This connector fits standard RCA sockets used on consumer AV equipment, hi-fi components and DIY cable assemblies where stable low-frequency and composite video connections are required.

Advantages

The gold-plated contacts reduce oxidation and ensure consistent conductivity over time, supporting low-loss analogue signal transmission. The durable metal body with a red housing offers mechanical stability and easy identification of channels during installation or maintenance. The connector is compact and compatible with common cable diameters used in consumer and semi-professional AV setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting consumer audio devices such as CD players, amplifiers and receivers
• Terminating composite video cables for standard-definition video equipment
• DIY cable assemblies and repairs in hi-fi or home theatre systems
• Replacing or upgrading worn RCA plugs on existing interconnects

Key specifications

• Connector type: RCA (Cinch) male plug
• Contact plating: gold-plated signal contacts for corrosion resistance
• Housing: metal body with red-colored shell for channel identification
• Intended signals: analogue audio and composite video
• Compatibility: standard RCA sockets on consumer and hi-fi equipment
• Mounting: solder or crimp termination depending on cable preparation (follow cable-specific method)

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer jacket and separating the centre conductor and shield according to the chosen termination method. If soldering, tin the conductor and shield, insert them into the connector contacts and apply solder to form secure joints; ensure no stray strands create shorts. If using a crimp-style variant or internal sleeve, follow the connector’s assembly steps and use the recommended crimping tool for a firm mechanical connection. Slide the red housing into place and tighten any retaining screws or collars to secure strain relief. Test continuity and signal with the connected equipment before final installation.

Recommendations

For best results, use cables with appropriate conductor sizes for audio/video signals and ensure clean, oxide-free contact surfaces when assembling. Match the red housing to the intended channel or function to avoid misrouting. Avoid excessive bending near the termination and maintain proper strain relief to prolong connector life.
