Its single-piece packaging makes it convenient for small repairs or custom cable assemblies.

Suitable for

• Composite video connections (yellow-coded)
• Repairing or replacing damaged RCA plugs on AV cables
• DIY custom audio/video cable assemblies
• Home theatre and legacy AV equipment connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: Male RCA (phono) plug
• Colour: Yellow
• Intended signals: Composite video and line-level analogue signals
• Pack quantity: 1 connector
• Mechanical fit: Standard RCA diameter for common AV sockets

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer insulation and separating the centre conductor from the shield according to the connector manufacturer's recommended dimensions. Slide any required ferrules or sleeves onto the cable, position the connector over the prepared conductors and secure it by soldering or crimping as appropriate for this type of male RCA plug. After assembly, test the connection with the intended AV source and display to confirm signal continuity and correct video output. Ensure the connector is fully seated in the mating socket to avoid intermittent contacts.

Recommendations

For best performance, match the yellow RCA connector with the corresponding yellow socket for composite video to avoid misconnection. Use proper soldering or suitable crimping tools to obtain a reliable electrical connection and protect the joint with heat-shrink tubing or strain relief to reduce mechanical stress on the cable.
