ROLINE 12.02.1017 kaapelisovitin USB A RS-232 + DB25 musta 1,8 m

The ROLINE 12.02.1017 cable gender changer USB A RS-232 + DB25 Black 1.8m provides a physical connection between a standard USB Type-A interface and a combined RS-232 / DB25 serial connector. Designed for situations where a USB host must interface with legacy serial equipment or devices that use a DB25 serial port, the 1.8 meter black cable offers a straightforward wired link for data transfer and communication tasks.

Advantages

This cable combines a USB A connector with an RS-232 + DB25 interface in a single assembly, eliminating the need for multiple adapters. At 1.8 m length it balances desk-to-device reach with signal integrity and convenient routing. The black outer jacket provides a neutral, professional appearance suitable for office, lab, or industrial environments. Lightweight construction reduces strain on connectors while maintaining a stable mechanical connection.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB-equipped computers to RS-232 devices with DB25 ports
• Data transfer, serial communication, and configuration of legacy equipment
• Laboratory, industrial control, and point-of-sale systems using DB25 serial interfaces

Key specifications

• Connector 1: USB A
• Connector 2: RS-232 + DB25
• Cable length: 1.8 m
• Product colour: Black
• Weight: 0.1088 kg

How to use

Connect the USB A plug to a host device such as a laptop or desktop computer. Plug the DB25/RS-232 connector into the serial port of the target device, ensuring the connector is seated and fastened as required by the DB25 shell. Install any necessary drivers on the host system if the operating system does not automatically recognize the serial interface. Configure serial port parameters (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits, and flow control) in the communication software to match the settings required by the connected device.

Recommendations

Use the cable in environments free from excessive mechanical stress or sharp bends to preserve connector and cable integrity. For reliable communication, verify driver compatibility and serial port settings before deployment, and avoid exposure to liquids or extreme temperatures that may affect cable performance.
