S/FTP Patch-kaapeli Cat6 Dätwyler 0,5 m vihreä

The Dätwyler S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 0.5m in green is a short, shielded network patch lead engineered for stable high-speed Ethernet connections. With S/FTP construction (overall braid shielding plus individually foil-shielded twisted pairs), this Cat6 cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, delivering consistent signal integrity over short links in data centers, server racks, and office patch panels. The 0.5 meter length and compact form factor make it suitable for tidy cable management in dense installations where reliable performance is required.

Advantages

Shielded S/FTP design provides enhanced protection against external noise sources and pair-to-pair interference, improving link reliability in electrically noisy environments. Cat6 performance supports Gigabit Ethernet and provides headroom for applications requiring low latency and stable throughput. The short 0.5 m length minimizes excess cable slack, which helps maintain clear airflow in racks and reduces signal reflections. The green jacket enables quick visual identification and color-coded cabling schemes.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switches and servers in data centers
• Patch panels and rack-mounted equipment where space is limited
• Office network terminations and color-coded link organization
• Environments with significant electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided shield with individually foil-shielded pairs
• Length: 0.5 m
• Color: Green
• Connector type: RJ45 to RJ45
• Typical use: Ethernet networking up to Gigabit speeds

How to use

Connect one RJ45 connector to the network switch or patch panel port and the other RJ45 connector to the server, workstation, or network device. Ensure both ends are fully inserted until the connector latch engages. For shielded installations, verify that patch panels and equipment support cable shielding and that chassis grounding is in place to maintain the effectiveness of the S/FTP shield. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force; route the cable following existing cable management paths to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Use this 0.5 m Dätwyler Cat6 S/FTP patch cable for short, high-density connections where shielding and clear color-coding are required. For optimal shielding performance, pair the cable with shielded connectors and properly grounded racks or panels. Replace the cable if connector clips are damaged or if the jacket shows visible wear that could compromise shielding.
