Rutenbeck kuitu-kaapelilaatikko BL 2280308060 SC Duplex SM x6 1U

The Rutenbeck Fiber Optic Cable Box BL 2280308060 SC Duplex SM x6 1U is a compact, rack- and wall-mountable fiber termination unit designed for single-mode SC duplex connections. Housed in a standard 1U enclosure, the unit provides six SC duplex ports that allow organized routing, termination and patching of single-mode fiber links in telecom rooms, distribution cabinets or data center racks. The design supports straightforward integration into existing patching infrastructure and offers a space-saving solution for small to medium fiber distribution requirements.

Advantages

The compact 1U housing enables efficient use of rack space while maintaining easy access to ports and patch cords. Preconfigured for SC duplex single-mode connectors, the box reduces installation time and ensures consistent connector alignment for reliable optical performance. Sturdy metal construction and a finish suitable for rack environments provide mechanical protection for adapters and pigtails. Cable entry and internal routing are arranged to minimize bend stress on fiber and to keep patching neat and serviceable.

How to use

Mount the unit in a 19-inch equipment rack at the desired U position or attach it to a suitable wall surface using appropriate fasteners. Feed incoming fiber cables through the rear or side cable entry points and secure them with strain reliefs. Terminate fibers to SC duplex adapters or connect pre-terminated pigtails according to site cabling standards, ensuring proper polishing and cleanliness of connector endfaces. Route and secure fiber within the enclosure to maintain minimum bend radii and close the housing before performing optical testing and commissioning.

Recommendations

Use LC- or SC-compatible cleaning tools and inspection microscopes to verify connector cleanliness before mating. Plan cable runs to avoid sharp bends and to preserve bend radius compliance for single-mode fiber. When installing in a rack, reserve adjacent U-space for cable management panels if a high density of patch cords is expected. Periodically inspect and clean adapter endfaces to maintain optimal optical performance.
