The fischer cavity metal anchor HM-S is a versatile fixing for panel building materials, designed to be used with a metric screw. It is set in pre-position using the fischer installation pliers HM-Z 1 or alternatively with a (cordless) screwdriver. During installation the anchor is pulled tight against the board material so that the expanding arms swing open and press onto the reverse side, creating a secure hold. How to use

Pre-position the HM-S anchor in the drill hole in the board. Use the fischer HM-Z 1 installation pliers to pull the anchor tight so the expanding arms open and press against the reverse side of the board. If pliers are not available, install the anchor using a screwdriver or cordless screwdriver by driving the metric screw until the anchor expands and secures itself. After expansion, attach the fixture with the appropriate screw thread and tighten as required.

Recommendations

Check board thickness and select the correct HM-S size for 3–50 mm panels. Pre-drill the correct hole diameter for the anchor, and avoid overtightening the screw to maintain holding capacity and allow removability when needed.
