S/FTP-kaapeli Cat.6 ROLINE 21.15.1889 300 m

ROLINE S/FTP Cable Cat.6 ROLINE 21.15.1889 300m is a grey, halogen-free network cable designed for structured building wiring and long-distance data transmission. The cable uses solid copper conductors of AWG23 gauge arranged in eight lines with foil pair shielding and a complete tinned copper braid, providing robust protection against electromagnetic interference for reliable Ethernet performance over a 300 m reel.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines individual foil shielding for each pair with an overall tinned copper braid to minimise crosstalk and external interference. Solid AWG23 copper conductors ensure stable signal integrity over longer runs compared with stranded alternatives. The cable is halogen-free, flame-retardant and low-smoke, meeting safety requirements for indoor installations while maintaining a professional grey appearance.

Suitable for

• Structured building wiring and backbone cabling
• High-density office and data centre environments with potential electromagnetic noise
• Long Ethernet runs where solid-core cables are preferred

Key specifications

• Type: S/FTP Cat.6
• Conductor: Solid copper, AWG23, 8 lines
• Shielding: Foil per pair + tinned copper braid (complete shielding)
• Impedance: 100 Ω
• Length: 300 m
• Colour: Grey
• Safety: Halogen-free, flame retardant, low smoke

How to use

Install the cable following standard cabling practices for Cat.6 S/FTP: route the cable avoiding tight bends and sources of mechanical stress, maintain proper separation from high-voltage power lines, and terminate using compatible RJ45 connectors and shielded keystone jacks or patch panels designed for shielded Cat.6. Ensure the braid and foil shields are properly grounded at equipment or enclosure ground points to preserve shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this cable for horizontal and backbone runs within buildings where solid-core Cat.6 is specified. Keep individual run lengths within recommended standards for Ethernet protocols and ensure proper grounding of shielded terminations to reduce susceptibility to electromagnetic interference.
