S/FTP-patchkaapeli Cat6 Draka Comteq 20 m vihreä

The Draka Comteq S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 in green is a 20 meter network patch cable designed for structured cabling and point-to-point connections. Constructed with individually shielded twisted pairs and an overall foil shield, this Cat6 cable reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference to maintain stable high-speed data transfer. The cable is suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and offers the mechanical durability required for regular installation and rearrangement in home and office networks.

Advantages

The shielded S/FTP design provides improved signal integrity in environments with potential interference from nearby electrical equipment or cable bundles. A 20 m length allows flexible placement of networked devices without intermediate couplers. The Cat6 category supports higher bandwidth and better performance margins compared to earlier standards. The green outer jacket makes cable routing and identification easier in multi-cable installations and the cable construction is intended for reliable long-term operation.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers and workstations
• Wired home networks and small office setups
• Structured cabling where shielded pairs are required to limit interference
• Temporary and permanent network layouts requiring a 20 m reach

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6, suitable for up to Gigabit Ethernet speeds
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 20 meters
• Color: Green outer jacket for easy identification
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors
• Connectors: Standard RJ45 termination compatible with Cat6 ports

How to use

Plug one RJ45 connector into the network port of the switch, router or device, and the other end into the corresponding port of the receiving device. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension, and prolonged contact with sources of heat. When installing in multi-cable bundles or near electrical equipment, ensure proper grounding and that the shield termination is correctly connected at patch panels or shielded connectors to preserve the S/FTP shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid kinking the cable and maintain bend radii recommended for Cat6 cables. Use shielded patch panels and properly grounded cabinets in installations where shielding is required. Label both ends if used in larger installations and periodically inspect for connector wear if the cable is frequently re-plugged.
