Sähkökotelo Rittal AX 1260.000, teräskotelo 600×300×1200 mm, IP66

Rittal AX 1260.000 is a steel electrical enclosure with external dimensions of 600 × 300 × 1200 mm and IP66 protection rating. Designed to house control equipment, distribution components and wiring, this cabinet provides a dust-tight construction and protection against powerful water jets and temporary immersion in compliance with the IP66 specification. The enclosure is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations where robust mechanical protection and reliable environmental sealing are required.

Advantages

The steel construction ensures mechanical strength and durability while surface treatment provides corrosion resistance suitable for industrial environments. IP66 sealing protects internal components from dust ingress and high-pressure water exposure. The cabinet’s standardized dimensions allow integration with common mounting plates, DIN rails and accessories, simplifying installation and internal layout. A lockable door and robust hinges support secure access control and repeated use without loss of sealing performance.

How to use

Install the enclosure on a suitable flat surface or mount it on a machine frame using appropriate fasteners and mechanical supports. Before fitting equipment, verify the enclosure is positioned to maintain IP66 sealing (ensure door closes evenly and gaskets are intact). Fit a compatible internal mounting plate and DIN rails where required, then route cabling through designated cable entries or glands to preserve ingress protection. Securely fasten internal components and verify clearances for ventilation and heat-generating devices to avoid overheating.

Recommendations

To maintain IP66 performance, check and replace door gaskets if damaged, tighten locking hardware after installation, and use approved cable glands or conduit entries for all external wiring. For outdoor use, ensure appropriate corrosion protection for mounting hardware and consider adding ventilation or heat management accessories if installed near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
