Its compact size and moderate weight make it convenient to position as an off‑camera slave unit, while compatibility with Canon camera systems supports straightforward integration in multi‑flash setups. The black finish minimizes reflections and visual distraction in studio and event environments.

Suitable for

• Event photography requiring additional off‑camera light
• Portrait and studio setups as a secondary or rim light
• On‑location shoots where battery power and portability are important
• Multi‑flash configurations where a slave unit is required

How to use

Install a fully charged LP‑EL battery into the flash and ensure contacts are clean before mounting. Triggering can be controlled optically or via the camera’s wireless system when used within a compatible Canon setup; confirm synchronization settings on both the camera and master unit. Adjust flash power and any built‑in zoom or diffusion settings to achieve the required exposure and light quality. After shooting, switch the unit off and remove the battery if storing for extended periods.

Recommendations

Use a fully charged LP‑EL battery and check thermal limits during continuous high‑output use. Position the slave flash to avoid direct reflection into the lens and use modifiers or bounce techniques to soften light when shooting portraits or close subjects.
