Sarjakaapeli ShiverPeaks BS78022-5 harmaa 5 m DB-25

The ShiverPeaks BS78022-5 Grey 5m DB-25 is a 5-metre serial cable with a DB-25 connector designed for reliable point-to-point data transmission between devices that use a 25-pin D-sub interface. The cable features a flexible grey jacket and a construction intended to balance durability with ease of routing in racks, offices, and industrial workspaces. It supports standard RS-232 signaling and is suitable for connecting legacy equipment, printers, modems, and other peripherals that require a DB-25 serial link.

Advantages

The cable’s 5 m length provides reach without excessive slack, and the grey outer sheath resists wear from regular handling. The DB-25 connector offers secure mating and stable contact for data lines and control signals. The construction emphasizes flexibility for easier installation in confined or structured cabling environments while maintaining reliable electrical performance for serial communications.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy serial devices with DB-25 ports
• Linking printers, modems, and serial peripherals
• Use in office, laboratory, or light industrial setups
• Temporary or permanent cabling between equipment racks

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 metres
• Connector type: DB-25 (25-pin D-sub)
• Color: Grey
• Signal standard: RS-232 compatible signaling
• Jacket: flexible PVC or similar protective sheath

How to use

Identify the DB-25 port on each device, align the connector carefully and secure it to the mating port using the connector’s fastening screws. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, pinch points and sources of high electromagnetic interference. For long-term installations, use cable clips or ties to secure the cable along trays or racks, leaving gentle service loops where needed to relieve strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For reliable serial communication, keep cable runs within 5 metres when possible to minimise signal degradation and avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines. Inspect connectors periodically for bent pins or loose screws and replace the cable if the jacket is visibly damaged.
