Verkkokaapeli S/CONN 08-22056 valkoinen 5 m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-22056 White 5 m Cat6 U/UTP is a 5-metre twisted-pair patch cable designed for gigabit Ethernet networks. It uses Category 6 wiring to support high-speed data transfer up to 1000 Mbit/s and is finished in white for unobtrusive installation in offices, homes, or data closets. The cable terminates in standard RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts to ensure consistent electrical contact and reduced corrosion over time.

Advantages

This Cat6 U/UTP cable provides stable transmission for Ethernet and IP-based services while keeping external shielding minimal to preserve flexibility and manageability. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact reliability and reduce signal loss at the interface. The 5 m length balances reach and reduced excess cable in typical room-to-wall outlet or device-to-switch connections. The white jacket offers a neutral appearance that integrates with common interior colour schemes.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, or printers to a network switch or router
• Wiring gigabit Ethernet links in small office or home networks
• Temporary or permanent connections between patch panels and network devices
• Audio-over-IP and small-scale IP camera installations where Cat6 performance is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 twisted-pair cable (U/UTP)
• Length: 5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Maximum data rate: Up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Colour: White outer jacket
• Construction: 4-pair, 8-conductor

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into a switch, router, or wall outlet. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure physical connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends, kinks, or tight coils in the cable and keep it away from strong electromagnetic interference sources such as power transformers or unshielded power cables.

Recommendations

Use the cable for in-room connections and short backbone links where Cat6 performance is adequate. If installations run alongside high-power electrical lines or require longer runs exceeding recommended limits, consider routed conduit, additional separation from power sources, or a shielded cable variant to minimise interference. Inspect connectors periodically for damage and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs show signs of wear.
