AV-signaalin lähetin Spacetronik HDMI-LAN-muunnin SPH-HLC6IR (jatko)

Spacetronik SPH-HLC6IR is an AV signal transmitter and HDMI-to-LAN converter designed to send HDMI video and audio over a LAN/IP network. The unit converts a local HDMI source into IP stream(s) for transmission across standard network infrastructure, enabling remote display installations with IR pass-through for controlling the source from the display end. The device is suitable for extending HDMI sources to distant screens in residential, commercial and signage environments while keeping cabling simple and leveraging existing Ethernet switches and cabling.

Advantages

The transmitter supports HDMI-over-Ethernet conversion, allowing longer-distance distribution of high-definition video and audio without the need for long HDMI cables. Integrated IR pass-through enables remote control of the connected HDMI source from the remote display location. The compact form factor and standard HDMI interfaces make installation straightforward, and compatibility with typical LAN/IP networks provides flexibility when designing multiscreen or single-screen setups.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source (for example a set-top box, media player or PC) to the transmitter's HDMI input, connect the transmitter to the local Ethernet network using CAT5e/6 cable, and place the receiver or compatible decoder at the remote display location connected to the network. Use the IR ports and included IR cables to link the remote display area’s IR emitter and receiver so that IR commands can travel between the remote control and the source. Configure network settings if necessary according to the receiver or system documentation to ensure stable streaming and proper routing of the HDMI-over-IP signal.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use quality CAT5e/6 cabling and, where multiple devices are used, managed switches that support sufficient bandwidth. Place the transmitter near the HDMI source and verify IR emitter/receiver placement for unobstructed control. Confirm compatibility of source and display devices for supported resolutions and audio formats, and update firmware on networked devices if available.
