Silppuri HSM Pure 740 suikalesilppu 5,8 mm, 400 mm työleveys, silppuaa CD-levyt ja luottokortit

HSM Pure 740 is a strip-cut office shredder with a 5.8 mm strip width and a 400 mm working width, designed for secure disposal of paper documents. The machine also accepts and reliably destroys optical media such as CDs and magnetic stripe cards including credit cards, allowing consolidation of different waste streams into one device. Intended for medium-duty use in office environments, the HSM Pure 740 provides consistent performance for routine document destruction and helps maintain information security and easier waste handling.

Advantages

The shredder offers a 400 mm working width that supports larger sheet formats and speeds up processing of envelopes and multi-page documents. A 5.8 mm strip cut achieves straightforward, compliant destruction of paper while maximizing throughput and minimizing energy consumption compared with more complex cut types. Integrated capability to shred CDs and credit cards reduces the need for separate devices and simplifies secure disposal of mixed media. The design focuses on reliability and ease of use for everyday office shredding tasks.

Suitable for

• Routine disposal of office paper, invoices and archived documents
• Secure destruction of CDs, DVDs and similar optical media
• Shredding of credit cards and ID cards with magnetic stripes
• Departments or small teams with medium daily shredding volumes
• Waste reduction and pre-processing before recycling

Key specifications

• Shredding type: strip cut (5.8 mm strip width)
• Working width: 400 mm
• Media compatibility: paper, CDs/DVDs, credit cards
• Application level: medium-duty office use
• Designed for consolidation of paper and mixed media shredding

How to use

Place the HSM Pure 740 on a stable, level surface and connect it to a suitable power supply following the manufacturer’s safety instructions. Feed paper into the feed slot centrally across the 400 mm working width, avoiding overloading beyond the recommended capacity for continuous operation. Insert CDs or credit cards into the designated feed area one at a time. Empty the collection container regularly to maintain performance and prevent jams. Follow any supplied user manual for maintenance tasks such as oiling cutting rollers if recommended.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, process mixed media separately in small batches (for example, a few CDs or cards at a time) and avoid feeding staples or large clips that could damage cutting elements. Schedule routine emptying of the waste container and inspect the cutting unit periodically. Using the unit within its intended medium-duty office capacity will maximize service life and ensure consistent destruction of sensitive materials.
