Sisäinen kaapeli BROADCOM x8 8654 - 8×1 SATA, 1 m pituus

Internal BROADCOM cable converting an x8 8654 connector to eight individual SATA connections. The cable is 1 meter long and is designed for connecting multiple SATA drives to a single Broadcom host adapter or controller with an x8 8654 port. It provides a compact internal routing solution for servers and workstations where organized, space-saving drive connections are required.

Advantages

This BROADCOM internal cable consolidates eight SATA connections from a single x8 8654 connector, reducing cabling complexity inside chassis and improving airflow by enabling neater cable management. Its 1 m length offers flexibility for routing within rackmount servers and desktop workstations. The cable is intended for direct internal connections to compatible Broadcom host adapters or controllers, ensuring reliable signal mapping between the x8 8654 interface and standard SATA drives.

Suitable for

• Connecting multiple 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drives or SSDs to a Broadcom controller with an x8 8654 port
• Server and storage chassis installations requiring consolidated internal cabling
• Workstation environments needing organized internal drive connections and improved airflow
• Upgrading or expanding drive bays where a single host adapter must service several SATA devices

Key specifications

• Connector: x8 8654 (host side) to 8 × 1 SATA (device side)
• Number of SATA outputs: 8
• Cable length: 1 meter
• Intended use: internal chassis connection
• Compatibility: designed for Broadcom host adapters/controllers with x8 8654 port

How to use

Power down the system and unplug power before installing the cable. Connect the x8 8654 end to the appropriate Broadcom host adapter or controller port; then route the cable inside the chassis to each SATA drive bay and attach the individual SATA plugs to each drive. Ensure connections are fully seated and secure any excess cable to maintain airflow and avoid interference with fans or moving parts. After installation, power on the system and verify that the controller recognizes all connected SATA devices in BIOS/UEFI or the storage management utility.

Recommendations

Use this cable only for internal connections inside supported server or workstation chassis. Avoid tight bends near the connector ends and secure the cable to prevent strain. Verify controller firmware and driver compatibility with attached SATA devices to ensure stable operation.
