Napasuuntaaja tarkkaan napakohdistukseen — napasuuntaaja Star Adventurer SW-4290

Polar finder Star Adventurer SW-4290 is an accessory designed to assist with accurate polar alignment of equatorial mounts used in astrophotography and observational astronomy. The device provides a visible reference for aligning the mount's rotational axis with the celestial pole, helping to reduce tracking errors and drift during long-exposure imaging. It is intended for users who need improved pointing stability and repeatable alignment procedures for night-sky photography and precise tracking.

Advantages

The polar finder offers a compact optical solution that simplifies the polar alignment process without requiring external software or complex tools. It improves the precision of initial alignment, which reduces field rotation and tracking drift during exposures. The accessory is compatible with standard equatorial mount housings that accept dedicated polar finders and is built to integrate seamlessly into established mount setup workflows.

Suitable for

• Astrophotographers performing long-exposure imaging
• Amateur astronomers wanting improved mount alignment
• Users of portable equatorial mounts for field observations
• Time-lapse and wide-field night-sky photographers seeking stable tracking

Key specifications

• Optical polar scope designed for polar alignment
• Compact form factor compatible with dedicated mount polar scope housings
• Provides visual reticle or reference for celestial pole alignment
• Passive device requiring no power or electronics
• Lightweight construction suitable for portable setups

How to use

Install the polar finder into the dedicated polar scope housing of the equatorial mount according to the mount manufacturer's instructions. Point the mount's RA axis roughly toward the celestial pole, then look through the polar finder and adjust the mount's azimuth and altitude controls until the appropriate star or reticle marks align with the celestial pole reference. Verify alignment by performing short test exposures and making fine adjustments to minimize drift.

Recommendations

Perform polar alignment after the mount is leveled and the tripod is stable. Use a red light to preserve night vision when observing through the polar finder. Re-check alignment periodically during long sessions and after moving the mount between observing sites.
